CAN sample resume to be published
I am very pleased to learn that one of my resumes, fictionalized to protect the identity of the candidate, has been selected for publication in the upcoming book, “Directory of Professional Resume Writers: How to Find and Work with a Pro to Accelerate Your Search.”
This resource will be available in November 2007, and will feature selected resumes from writers in the United States, Canada, and elsewhere. The book will offer more than a listing of professionals by region, specialty, and by name. It will provide tips on how to choose the best resume writer and how to effectively work with a consultant to create outstanding job search documents.
The author, Louise Kursmark, is a nationally recognized resume writer whose niche market is senior executives. Louise is a true professional, who mentors and trains others while continuing to serve selected clients.
My contribution to the book is a resume written to support a technically-oriented manager who wanted to leave the unpredictable world of IT contracting. He had excellent academic credentials, but lacked the project management experience he needed to make this change in a highly competitive marketplace.
In addition to a carefully constructed resume, I provided him with guidance that led him to earn Project Management certification. The resume is written in a 2-page chronological format, but also highlights the candidate's functional areas of expertise. Resumes and job search strategies for technical managers is an area of strength for the Career Acceleration Network (CAN).
Add this book to your wish-list so you can make the most of your investment in professional career consulting services.
